Joseph Tomlin is an experienced professional in the transportation industry. He is the CEO and lead instructor at Tomlin Transportation Consulting, Inc. Before starting his own company, Mr. Tomlin worked for Miami-Dade Transit, the largest transit agency in Florida and the 15th largest public transit system in the USA. He worked there for 34 years, starting as a Bus Operator in 1974 and retiring as the Supervisor of Bus Operations Training Unit in 2008.
Throughout his career, Mr. Tomlin has collaborated with various organizations, such as Transportation America/LSF, West Perrine Community Development Corporation, and Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office- Justice in Motion: Community Outreach Division, to provide driver training services. In 2007, he established Tomlin Transportation Consulting, Inc., which has gained a reputation as one of South Florida's leading driver training firms. The company initially provided professional training and CDL certifications to aspiring bus operators in the South Florida area but later expanded its focus to offer dedicated instruction to residents, students, and families.
Mr. Tomlin has received numerous certifications, including a Training and Human Resources Development certificate from Florida International University, to stay current with the industry's latest developments. He enjoys spending quality time with his family when he is not training. He is a proud father to five daughters, four granddaughters, and two grandsons.
